Absolutely. The two products affect different functions in the skin. Brightening Pads are a powerful antioxidant that promotes skin health, prevention, fades dark spots and brightens the skin. Micropeel pads are a blend of exfoliating acid that exfoliates the surface of the skin and clears out the pores. They compliment each other very well and will deliver a great result.
Yes and No. Both pads can be used safely during pregnancy and nursing and will help maintain the brightness of your skin during your pregnancy. We also have Brightening Pads with 4% Hydroquinone and we recommend that you discontinue using HQ during pregnancy but our regular Brightening Pads are completely pregnancy safe.
Here is a simple, results-driven routine using both:
AM: Hydrating Cleanser, Brightening Pads, Hydrating SPF or Physical Tint
PM: Hydrating Cleanser, Micropeel Pads, Moisturizer and Retinol if you currently use retinol in your routine.
This will vary depending on your skin type and reaction to chemical exfoliation methods. When first using Micropeel pads, you will want to use 2-3 times per week slowly building up to nightly ONLy if your skin allows. Those with sensitive skin will only be able to use them 2-3 times a week but those with oily/acne prone skin will be able to build to nightly usage. It’s very important to listen to your skin and only use the pads as tolerated.
The Micropeel Pads have a blend of exfoliating acids, glycolic, salicylic, and lactic acid. This combination of ingredients will exfoliate the surface of the skin and inside the lining of the pore. It is normal to feel a little tingle or stinging sensation when you apply them. There is no need to be concerned because that is how these ingredients work in the skin. What you should watch for is signs of irritation or dryness in the days following usage. If your skin shows signs of irritation or dryness, you may want to discontinue and let your skin return to normal and then reintroduce and use less often. If any itching or bumps occur, please discontinue and contact customer service and we’ll direct you to next steps.
No, you cannot use Hydroquinone during pregnancy, but regular Brightening Pads WITHOUT HQ are completely safe during pregnancy. The Brightening Pads are a blend of botanical ingredients and antioxidants that promote skin health, protection from UV damage, and lighten brown spots on the skin during pregnancy.
